Ali Talha Khalil is an associate professor and associate dean of research at the Lady Reading Hospital Medical Teaching Institution, and an internationally recognized researcher with a distinguished record of innovation and scientific leadership. He earned his PhD in biotechnology from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad (2018). His primary research interests encompass precision oncogenomics, biomaterials, and the ethics of science and technology. Khalil’s scholarly work has garnered significant international recognition, with over 9,300 citations and an h-index of 52. He is the recipient of a highly competitive multiyear project funded by NATO under the Science for Peace programme. In 2024, his contributions were honoured with the Pakistan Academy of Sciences’ Gold Medal for the most outstanding researcher under the age of 50. Khalil’s leadership extends to numerous professional organizations: he is a member of the American Society of Microbiology and a Fellow of the UNESCO Chair in nanoscience and nanotechnology. He has also completed the highly competitive AAAS-TWAS Science Diplomacy course.
