TWAS's research grants have a new, earlier deadline: 1 June. From this year onward, application forms for all the available grants must be delivered to the office in charge (mahdavi@twas.org) by this date. The previous deadline – 31 August – is no longer valid.
This switch reflects the Academy's commitment to its applicants, and the urgency to speed up the selection process. Individual scientists and groups of researchers who plan to apply for any of the available grants must anticipate timely mailing of the requested document.
TWAS funds several programmes that provide grants to researchers in some developing countries for specialized equipment, consumable supplies and scientific publications. Every year, about USD1.7 million in grants are awarded to individual scientists and research groups.
