The Academy has officially added its 2026 class of Fellows to the TWAS Directory. The 63 new Fellows live and work in 26 different countries. Of them, 23 are women (36.5%), 57 are from the global South, and 6 from science- and technology-lagging countries identified by TWAS.
TWAS Fellows represent the apex of scientific achievement in their respective fields, and contribute to the collective expertise of the Academy. They play a crucial role in shaping the future of scientific research and innovation in the developing world.
The TWAS Online Directory provides profiles of more than 1480 elected lifetime Fellows and more than 480 Young Affiliates and Alumni, early-career scientists who are given six-year terms in the Academy because of their exceptional scientific promise.
