Space Technology for Disaster Mitigation: Workshop in June 2014

Early- to mid-career scientists, policymakers and managers from developing countries are invited to apply for the training workshop on 'Space Technology for Disaster Mitigation' in Beijing, China, from 3 to 13 June 2014. The deadline to apply is 4 April.

Experts from international institutions across the globe will share their experiences working in this increasingly critical field. The workshop is organized by the CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence on Space Technology for Disaster Mitigation (SDIM).  SDIM is jointly sponsored by TWAS and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and hosted by the CAS Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth.

Participation in the workshop is limited to 20 people, and female applicants will be given priority. Selected applicants will be provided with round-trip airfares between their home countries and Beijing, as well as local expenses during the workshop.

For details, please visit the SDIM website and see the application form.
