In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, The World Academy of Sciences (UNESCO-TWAS) will convene its Sixteenth General Conference, from 21–24 November, for the second time in an all-virtual mode. Host partner of the event will be Zhejiang University, one of the oldest Chinese universities, based in Hangzhou.
This year, the Conference's topic will be on "Basic Sciences for Evidence-Based Decision-Making and Sustainable Development in the Global South". Many the events scheduled, including the traditional Awards Ceremony, keynote lecture, symposia, and Induction Ceremony of the new-elected TWAS Fellows and Young Affiliates.
