Al-Salman Ahmad

Al Salman (PhD, 1999, University of Pittsburgh) is a professor, Yarmouk University (YU), Jordan (on leave at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman, Jan. 2017-Sept. 2025). He has served as, Head of Quality Assurance Unit at CS (SQU), Head, Department of mathematics, SQU (Sept. 2018-Sept. 2024), Associate editor of SQU University J. for Science, Vice Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, Yarmouk University (2013-2016), and past-editor in chief of Jordan Journal of Mathematics and Statistics. He was: TWAS young affiliates, 2010-2014; Head, Department of Mathematics, YU; Member of the organizing committee of the first symposium of the Arab-American Frontiers of Science, Engineering, and Medicine program. His awards and honors include: Distinguished Graduate of Yarmouk University (2019), scholarship from YU to obtain a PhD degree in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh; scholarship from Ministry of education in Jordan to obtain a B.Sc. degree in mathematics from YU; medal from YU President for ranking first in the B.Sc. graduation class; certificate with honors from YU graduates club and medal from YU President for ranking first in the M.Sc. graduation class
