Ooi Keng Boon

Ooi is the distinguished chair professor of industrial management and information systems at UCSI University, where he also serves as director of the Centre for Business Informatics and Industrial Management, and as a distinguished professor at the Graduate Business School. Prior to entering academia, he spent seven years as a senior IT engineer at a multinational semiconductor manufacturing company. Ooi is a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and the Academy of Engineering and Technology of the Developing World, a Non-European Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences, and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. His research focuses on information systems and industrial management, with publications in leading journals such as Harvard Data Science Review, Information & Management, Decision Support Systems, and the Journal of Business Research, among others. He was named a Clarivate™ Highly Cited Researcher in 2023, and has consistently ranked among the world’s top 2% of most-cited scientists (2020–2025). He currently serves as an associate editor for several leading international journals.
