Biodata
Yasser M. Sabry received the B.Sc. and the M.Sc. from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 2005 and 2009, respectively. During his M.Sc. he was working on modeling and characterization of micro and nano scale devices. He obtained his Ph.D. from Université Paris-Est, ESIEE Paris, France in 2013. During his Ph.D. he gained the knowledge of modeling, design, fabrication and characterization of optical MEMS and microoptical components. Dr. Yasser was a key player in developing the Silicon integrated Micro Optical System SiMOSTTM technology and the development of NeoSpectraTM, the world’s smallest FTIR spectrometer. Following his Ph.D., he worked on an optoelectronic and optical fiber sensing system, where the optical MEMS and the fiber technology could be mixed to achieve innovative and low cost solutions. His industrial experience includes working with Mentor Graphics Inc, Information and Technology Development Agency and Si-Ware Systems. Dr. Yasser is an Assistant Professor in the Electronics and Comm. Engineering Dept., Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University. He is a member in the Autotronics group in the same Faculty.
