The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is the Indian government's main R&D organization. It consists of a network of 38 institutes and laboratories and 39 outreach centres covering most areas of science and technology. TWAS and CSIR partner in offering the TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship Programme and the TWAS-CSIR Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme.
