CAS-TWAS Workshop: Extreme Weather and Climate Events

The International Center for Climate and Environment Sciences (ICCES) at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) will hold a workshop 14-23 July in Beijing on assessing and planning for extreme weather and climate events in developing nations. Deadline for registration: 31 May 2013.

CAS-TWAS Workshop: Extreme Weather and Climate Events

ICCES is one of five CAS-TWAS Centers of Excellence in China. The workshop, "Extreme weather and climate events: detection, monitoring, prediction and risk management for developing countries", will feature renowned scientists from several nations lecturing and sharing their experience with the participants.

The local organizing committee will cover the international travel and local accommodation for 15-20 eligible applicants from developing countries. The deadline for registration and application for financial support is 31 May 2013.
