Established in 1994, the Academy of Sciences Malaysia strives to be the ‘Think Tank’ of the nation for matters related to science, engineering, technology and innovation; and to pursue excellence in the fields of science, engineering and technology for the benefit of all.
Former CAS and TWAS President Bai Chunli played a central role in creating the award.
The recipients receive USD10,000.
The subject rotates among the following fields of science: physical sciences (including physics and chemistry); astronomy and cosmology; earth sciences; mathematics and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Life Sciences.
