Mirabbos Hojamberdiev is currently serving as a visiting scientist at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Xi’an University of Technology, China. He obtained his MSc and PhD in materials science from Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, Uzbekistan. He has made several short- and long-term research visits to various laboratories in the world to develop advanced materials for energy and environmental applications and established an excellent international scientific network. His main research activity centers at the fabrication, characterization, and application of visible-light-active photocatalytic materials for energy and environmental applications. For his outstanding research work, he was awarded with the President’s Award of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2004, TWAS Prize for Young Scientists in Developing Countries in 2010 and Atta-ur-Rahman Prize in Chemistry for Young Scientists in 2015. He is a member of various international professional societies, including Global Young Academy.

Ibrokhim Y. Abdurakhmonov received his BS in Biotechnology from the National University, Uzbekistan(1997), an MS in Plant Breeding from Texas A&M University (2001), and a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics (2002), and a DSc from the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (2009). He became a full professor (2011) at the same Academy of Sciences. He founded the Center of Genomics and Bioinformatics of Uzbekistan in 2012. He was elected as a fellow (2014) of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and a member (2017) of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. He served as Uzbekistan's Minister of Innovative Development and Higher Education, Science, and Innovations Minister from 2017 to 2023. In 2023, he was appointed as the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He received the 2010 TWAS prize and ICAC Cotton Researcher of the Year 2013 for his outstanding contribution to cotton genomics. He was honored as the 2022 Ambassador of Silk Road Friendship by CICEC and Global People Magazine. He received the 2023 UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences. He received the 8th VCANBIO Award for Biosciences and Medicine in 2023.

Ayupov was educated at Tashkent State University. He is the director of V.I Romanovskiy Institute of Mathematics, Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences(former Institute of Mathematics, National University of Uzbekistan); professor, National University of Uzbekistan; and chairman, Algebra and Functional Analysis Department. He was previously: Dep. Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan; Chairman, Supreme Attestation Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. His awards include: Uzbekistan Academy Prize for Young Scientists; Uzbekistan Youth Union Prize for Young Scientists; All Soviet Union Youth Prize in Sciences and The First Degree State Prize of Uzbekistan in Science and Technology. He is a member of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences (elected in 1995) and American Mathematical Society. He was a senior associate, ICTP, Trieste, Italy, 2008-13. Member the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan since 2021, Hero of Uzbekistan (2021).
