Klein is Carnell Professor of Science and director of the Institute for Computational Molecular Science, at Temple University, Philadelphia, USA. He was Hepburn professor of physical science and director, Lab. for Research on the Structure of Matter, Univ. of Pennsylvania (UPenn), Philadelphia. After his PhD (Univ. of Bristol) and postdoctoral work in Italy, England, and USA, he joined the National Research Council of Canada. In 1987, he joined UPenn where he established the Center for Molecular Modeling. He is member of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA, a fellow of: Royal Society of London; Royal Society of Canada; and American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Awards include: American Physical Society Aneesur Rahman Prize for Computational Physics; American Chemical Society Debye Award in Physical Chemistry; and Bernie J. Lee is chair professor at the Department of Applied Chemistry and Institute of Molecular Science, director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Science, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, and an adjunct research fellow of the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. He obtained his PhD in 1979 at UC Berkeley. He was professor at the Department of Chemistry, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. His prizes include National Chair Professor from Ministry of Education, APA Award (Asian and Oceanian Photochemistry Association), Academic Achievement Award from the Ministry of Education, Excellent Research Awards from National Science Council. His memberships include fellow of the American Physical Society and Academician of Academia Sinica.

Lee received his B.S. degree from the National Taiwan University in 1959 and Doctorate from UC Berkeley in 1965. After working with Professor Mahan at Berkeley and Professor Herschbach at Harvard as a post-doctoral fellow, he was appointed Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago in 1968. He returned to Berkeley as Professor of Chemistry in 1974. He was University Professor and Principal Investigator at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, UC Berkeley, before he returned to Taiwan to serve as the President of Academia Sinica from 1994 to 2006, the highest ranking academic institution in Taiwan. He was elected President of the International Council for Science (ICSU) in 2008 and served from 2011 to 2014. He has received numerous awards and honors, including the 1986 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and Doctor Honoris Causa from 41 universities throughout the world.

Lehn, at the University of Strasbourg, France, is Professor at the Institute of Advanced Study, Chair of Chemistry of Complex Systems, and Hemeritus Professor. He is also Honorary Professor at the Collège de France, Paris, where he has been since 1979. From 1970 to 1979, he was Professor of Chemistry at the Université Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg. In 1987, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, together with Donald Cram and Charles J. Pedersen, for his studies on the chemical basis of molecular recognition, which also plays a fundamental role in biological processes. His work led to the definition of a new field of chemistry, which he defined as 'supramolecular' chemistry and deals with the complex entities formed by the association of two or more chemical species held together by non-covalent inter-molecular forces. He is author of more than 990 scientific publications and is a member of many academies, institutions and several industrial bodies. He received numerous international honours and awards.

Li is E. B. Eddy Chair Professor and Canada Research Chair at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He obtained his PhD at McGill University (1992) and was a NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University (1992-94). He was an Assistant (1994), Associate (1998) and Full Professor (2000) at Tulane University (US). Since 2003, he has been at McGill University. He serves as the Director of NSERC CREATE for Green Chemistry and the Co-Director of the FQRNT Center for Green Chemistry and Catalysis. Li received a number of prestigious awards/honors worldwide. These include the US NSF’s CAREER Award, a US Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award, the Canadian Green Chemistry and Engineering Award, and the R. U. Lemieux and Alfred Bader Awards of the Canadian Chemical Society, Alexander Humboldt Research Award, and the CIC Medal of Canada. His memberships include the Fellows of the RSC (Canada), RSC (UK), the AAAS, the CIC, and the ACS.

Can Li has been working on both fundamental and applied research in catalysis and making efforts to reveal the essential relationship between catalytic performance and catalyst structure, and to understand catalysis at various levels including atomic, molecular as well as nanometer scales and to apply these understandings to the designs and the development of practical applications in energy, fine chemicals and environmental sciences. In particular to understand the fundamental of catalysis by developing in situ spectroscopy (e.g., UV Raman, Time resolved vibrational and electronic spectroscopy) to characterize the catalyst structure, and catalytic reactions. Can Li is the Director of Dalian National Laboratory for Clean Energy. He was elected a Member of the Chinese Academy of Science (2003), a Member of The Academy of Science for Developing Countries (2005), a Foreign Member of Academia Europea (2008), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (2008).

Litter is Doctor in Chemistry from the Buenos Aires University, Argentina (1974) with Postdoctoral stage at the University of Arizona, USA (1983). She is Senior Researcher of the National Research Council (CONICET) and Full Professor at the University of General San Martín, Argentina. She was Principal Researcher and Head of the Environmental Chemistry Remediation Division at the National Atomic Commission. Main research interests: treatment of organic and inorganic contaminants in water and air by innovative advanced technologies, especially heterogeneous photocatalysis and use of iron nanomaterials. She authored more than 250 scientific publications in international journals, books and chapters of books. She received the Mercosur Prize twice in 2006 and 2011. She was President of the Organizing Committee of the 5th International Congress on Arsenic in the Environment in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2014. Liu is a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica in Taipei, Taiwan. His work in reaction dynamics has led to new fundamental insights into the intricate details of elementary chemical reactions under crossed molecular beam conditions, including the first unambiguous observation of reactive or Feshbach resonances, the quantum state correlation of product pairs in a reactive event, the mode- and bond-selected reactivity of polyatomic reactants, and the stereo-control of bimolecular reactions. He is a member of Academia Sinica, a fellow of American Physical Society and Royal Society of Chemistry, the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award of the National Tsing Hua University, the First Presidential Science Prize of Taiwan, the Alexander von Humboldt Research Award, and the R. B. Bernstein Award.

Mammo is professor of chemistry at Addis Ababa Univ., Ethiopia. He was educated at AAU and the Univ. of Bonn, Germany. He was chairman of the Dept. of Chemistry, AAU, (1997-99), editor and editor-in-chief of the Bull. Chem. Soc. Ethiop. (1993-96) and visiting professor at Chalmers Univ. of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden (1996-2013). His major contributions are in the synthesis of a wide variety of polythiophenes and polyfluorene copolymers destined mainly for photovoltaic applications. Through support from ISP, Sweden, he established one of the best modern synthetic chemistry facilities in Africa at AAU, which gives strong support to materials research and training. He is the recipient of the 2012 CNR Rao Prize for scientific research. His research interests include natural products chemistry and the synthesis and characterization of conjugated polymers for photovoltaic applications.

Manoharan is Distinguished Fellow INSA in the Department of Chemistry of IIT, Madras. He obtained his PhD from Columbia Univ. and was a research assoc. at Michigan State Univ. He was in the Faculty of Chemistry both in IIT/Kanpur and IIT/Madras. He founded the premier Regional Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre to serve Indian scientists. He was Vice Chancellor at the Univ. of Madras (1997-99); Institute emeritus professor, CSIR, emeritus scientist, and DST Ramanna Fellow all at IIT, Madras, and honorary professor at JNCASR, Bangalore and INSA Senior Scientist. He was also Raman Chair Professor at IGNOU New Delhi (2009-2012).He is a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy and the Indian Academy of Sciences and served as the Scientific Secretary of INSA. He has received several awards and medals including the FICCI award, Palit Award, Rangadhama Award of the INSA, Sadhan Basu Memorial Award, and the CRSI Gold medal, a life-time achievement award by the Intl. EPR Society.

Prof. Ulmas Mirsaidov is the consultant and head researcher in the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Safety & Security Agency of Tajikistan. He worked as the director at the Regulatory Authority in Tajikistan and as director of the V.I. Nikitin Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences, Tajikistan. His research areas are the chemistry and technology of inorganic hydrides, mineral raw materials, and radioecology. He had practical research work, which is associated with the recovery of materials from wastes of the Tajik aluminum and Isfara hydrometallurgical production. Mukherjee is Professor Emeritus, Raman Center for Atomic, Molecular and Optical Sciences, and the Ex-Director of the Indian Assoc. for the Cultivation of Science. He is also adjunct professor of the Theoretical Chemistry Dept., Nanjing University. He is recognized for his work on quantum many-body theory, especially multi-reference coupled-cluster approaches, and other areas of theoretical chemistry and theoretical spectroscopy. His awards include: Humboldt Prize of Germany, 2010, SS Bhatnagar, 1987; Asutosh Mukherjee, 1965; Jagdish Shankar Memorial Award, INSA, 1994; Fukui Memorial Prize, Asia-Pacific Assoc. of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (APATCC), 2008; Silver Medal, Chemical Research Soc. of India, 1999 and the Medal of the Centre of Applied Wave Mechanics, France (2014). Mukherjee is currently a professor of chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He is a recipient of the NASI-Scopus Young Scientist Award, the Indian National Science Academy Medal, the S. S. Bhatnagar Prize, TWAS young affiliateship and the Swarnajayanti fellowship of the Government of India. He was recently featured by the Department of Science and Technology, India, as one of the 75 scientists under 50 who are shaping Indian science. He is an elected Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences. Mukherjee is or was in the editorial advisory boards of several journals: Inorganic Chemistry, Inorganica Chimica Acta, Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers, The Chemical Records, and Scientific Reports. He is currently serving as an associate editor of Inorganic Chemistry. Ngila (PhD,1996, University of New South Wales) holds MSc in Chemistry (1992), Bachelor of Education in Science (1986), Kenyatta University (KU). Her research is in water quality monitoring and nanotechnology for water treatment. She taught at KU (1989-1997); University of Botswana (1998-2006); University of KwaZulu Natal (2006-2011); and University of Johannesburg (2011-2017) as a Full Professor of Analytical/Environmental Chemistry. She was Head of Applied Chemistry Department (2013- 2016) and Ag. Director of the Water Node of the Nanotechnology Innovation Centre (2015) at the University of Johannesburg; Deputy Director at Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas, (April 2017- Feb 2020) and Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Riara University, Kenya (Feb 2020-current). She has over 200 journal articles. She trained over 30 Doctoral Students, 33 Masters and 22 Honours Students and 18 Postdoctoral Research Fellows. Awards include 2017 African Union Kwame Nkrumah and 2016 South Africa Distinguished Women in Science. Member of Academy of Science of South Africa; African Academy of Science. Ramasesha is a professor in the Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He obtained his PhD in 1977 from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He was post-doctoral research associate at the Universities of Oxford and Princeton. He has been awarded the BM Birla science prize and Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar prize in chemistry. He is a J.C. Bose National fellow and fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences and the Indian National Science Academy. His area of research is modeling electronic and magnetic and nonlinear optic phenomena in molecular materials and low dimensional extended systems. He has developed exact diagonalization methods to study molecular magnets, extended the density matrix renormalization group methods to study static and dynamic properties of electron states in conjugated polymers and spin chains.

Rao is Linus Pauling research professor and Hon. president, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research. After obtaining his PhD at Purdue U. and completing postdoctoral work at UC Berkeley, he returned to India in 1959 and has since worked in various capacities at the Ind. Inst. of Science and other institutions.
