GYA is an international society of young scientists working to address global challenges and policy issues that require interdisciplinary expertise. TWAS's treasurer and former executive director, Mohamed H.A. Hassan, is a member of the GYA Senior Advisory Board.

The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) – established in 1876 in Kolkata – is the oldest institute in India devoted to the pursuit of fundamental research in the frontier areas of basic sciences (chemistry and physics). Together with TWAS, the Association offers postgraduate and postdoctoral fellowships tenable in India.

The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), based in Karachi, Pakistan, comprises the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry and the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular and Drug Research. TWAS and ICCBS jointly offer the TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship Programme and the TWAS-ICCBS Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme. In 2011, TWAS produced a volume profiling ICCBS.

An Intergovernmental Organisation for research, training, and technology transfer in the fields of health, agriculture and energy to promote sustainable global development. With Laboratories in Trieste, New Delhi and Cape Town the ICGEB offers a unique technological and educational platform to promote scientific learning and innovation.

The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is a research institute focused on integrated control methodologies for crop and livestock insect pests and other related arthropods, and insect vectors of tropical diseases. Based in Kenya, icipe partners with TWAS in the TWAS-icipe Postgraduate Fellowship Programme, the TWAS-icipe Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme, and the TWAS-icipe Fellowships for Visiting Scholars in Kenya.

The International Mathematical Union (IMU) is an international non-governmental and non-profit scientific organization focused on promoting international cooperation in mathematics. It is a member of the International Council for Science (ICSU) and has endorsed  ICSU's Principle of Freedom, Responsibility & Universality of Science.

The objectives of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) are:

• To promote international cooperation in mathematics;
• To support and assist the International Congress of Mathematicians and other international scientific meetings or conferences;
• To encourage and support other international activities considered likely to contribute to the development of mathematical science – pure, applied, or educational.

The International Science Council (ISC) is an international non-governmental organization devoted to international cooperation in the advancement of science. Its members are national scientific bodies and international scientific unions. TWAS is a Affiliated Member of ISC.

The International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation (ISTIC) operates under the auspices of UNESCO as an international platform for cooperation among developing countries to increase the capacity for management of science, technology and innovation throughout the developing world.

The Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST) is a comprehensive science policy research centre directly attached to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. It is the biggest research centre in Iran, and chiefly engaged in developing science and technology for economic progress. TWAS and IROST partner in the framework of the TWAS-IROST Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme.

The Islamic Development Bank, founded in 1974, works to foster the economic development and social progress of member countries and Muslim communities in accordance with the principles of Islamic Law. It has made significant investments in areas related to science and science capacity, as well as in infrastructure and education. IsDB, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has 57 member countries. It has regional offices in Rabat, Morocco; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Almaty, Kazakhstan; and Dakar, Senegal. It also has country gateway offices in Ankara, Turkey, and Jakarta, Indonesia, plus field representatives in 14 member countries.

ENEA is one of Italy's most important research organizations. Its activities are mainly focused on energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, nuclear energy, climate and the environment, safety and health, new technologies and electric system research.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is a multidisciplinary research institute situated in Jakkur, a locality north of Bangalore, India. Its mandate is to pursue and promote world-class research and training at the frontiers of science and engineering. JNCASR is the host of TWAS's regional office for central and south Asia.
 

The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) is a private non-profit organization established in 1976. It aims to develop strong awareness in favour of science and scientific education and culture. KFAS supports TWAS's publications programme, in particular the TWAS Newsletter.

The National Council on Science and Technology advances the scientific development and technological modernization of Mexico by supporting high-level human resources, promoting and maintaining specific research projects, and disseminating scientific and technological information.

COMSTECH was established in 1981 to strengthen S&T capacity and cooperation among member states of the OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation).

TWAS-COMSTECH Joint Research Grants are awarded to promising research projects in a range of fields carried out by young individual scientists.

The Argentinian Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Productiva hosted TWAS’s 24th General Meeting in 2013.

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations is responsible for:

I. national science, technology and innovation policies;
II - planning, coordination, supervision, monitoring and evaluation of science, technology and innovation activities;
III - policies of digital transformation and development of automation;
IV - national biosecurity policy;
V - spatial policy;
VI - nuclear policy;
VII - control of the export of sensitive goods and services; and
VIII - articulation with the Governments of the States, the Federal District and the Municipalities, with society and with the organs of the federal Government, with a view to establishing guidelines for national policies of science, technology and innovation.

The National Centre for Physics (NCP) in Islamabad was established in 1999 to promote research in physics and allied disciplines in Pakistan and the region. Its main objective is to raise the standard of physics at par with international norms of productivity and originality, and to generate and disseminate knowledge in the major areas of physics. Together with TWAS, NCP offers postdoctoral fellowships and fellowships for visiting scholars in Pakistan.

The Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) is Argentina's national research council. In 2013, it hosted TWAS's 24th General Meeting.

The National Council on Science and Technology (CONACYT) aims to promote the scientific development and technological modernization of Mexico through developing high level human resources, promoting and maintaining specific research projects, and disseminating scientific and technological information. CONACYT and TWAS are about to set up postgraduate and postdoctoral fellowships tenable in Mexico by young researchers from the developing world.

As an entity of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the National Research Foundation (NRF) promotes and supports research through funding, human resource development and the provision of National Research Facilities in all fields of natural and social sciences, humanities and technology. The NRF provides services to the research community especially at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Science Councils, with a view to promote high-level human capital development. The NRF aims to uphold excellence in all its investments in knowledge, people and infrastructure.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) of Sri Lanka, under the purview of the Ministry of Science and Technology, fosters science, technology, and innovation ecosystem in the country. The NSF was established in 1998 by the Science and Technology Development Act No. 11 of 1994, as a successor to the Natural Resources, Energy & Science Authority of Sri Lanka (NARESA) established in 1981 and the National Science Council (NSC) set up in 1968.

The mission of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) is to implement the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention to achieve a world free of chemical weapons, and in which chemistry is used for peace, progress, and prosperity.
