Hassan Shokry Hassan Ahmed is an associate professor in the Environmental Engineering Department, Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, Alexandria, Egypt. His interests cover nanotechnology, sensors applications, design of environmental controlling systems. He started his career working first as an assistant researcher, assistant professor then as an associate professor (2004 - 2019) in the Electronic Materials Researches Department, City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications, Alexandria, Egypt. Ahmed is the recipient of numerous awards: the ALECSO award for young researchers in the Arab World (field nanotechnology), in 2015; the State Encouragement Award in the field of Basic Sciences (field physical science), in 2017. He is serving as a member in the National Committee for New Materials Technology (2018-2021), and is a referee in many scientific journals.

Elmojtaba obtained a BSc degree in mathematics and computer science (2003), from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. He then earned a master’s degree in industrial and computational mathematics (2006), and a Ph.D. in applied mathematics (2010). He was appointed an assistant professor in 2010 at the Department of Applied Mathematics in the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, University of Khartoum, where he then served as the head of the Department of Applied Mathematics for three years. In 2014 he joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, as an assistant professor. In addition to his teaching duties at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Elmojtaba is very active in research. His main scientific interest is in the area of biological applications of difference and differential equations. Elmojtaba has participated in about 25 national and international research conferences and has published more than 20 research papers in refereed journals. In 2012, he was awarded the AU-TWAS Prize for Young Scientists, as an acknowledgment of the quality of his research output. Recently he was promoted to the rank of an associate professor.

Dr. Shymaa Enany is a professor of Microbiology, Suez Canal University, Egypt and currently in the Armed Force College of Medicine, Cairo, Egypt. She received her PhD from School of Medical Sciences, Niigata University, Japan. Her postdoc was in USA and Japan. She was one of the first Arab scientists who applying bacterial proteomic techniques helping in revealing good markers for microbes spreading in community. She received many awards for her scientific contributions. Recently, she won the International Science Council (ISC) Award for Early Career Scientist in Africa, 2021. She awarded the most prestigious award in Egypt; the state encouragement prize for women in the field of health and pharmaceutical sciences, 2019. Also, she was awarded The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) Young Arab Scientist Prize 2018 for Scientific Achievement in Medical Sciences. She was appointed the Arab Region Executive Board Regional Member of Organization for Women in Science for Developing World (OWSD).

Sebai is an associate professor and director (2017) of the Higher Institute of Biotechnology of Beja, University of Jendouba, Tunisia. He earned his PhD at Carthage University (2009), Tunisia, and served as a member of the scientific council since 2011. From 2012 on, he has coordinated the master Technology Applied to Dairy and Meat, and since 2017 has served as a coordinator in the master Functional Agro-Resources. He headed the Animal Biotechnology Department (2014-2017). Since 2013 he has been a founding member and treasurer of the Tunisian Association of Biotechnology and Bio-Resources Valorisation, and a member of the National Sectorial Commission in Biological Sciences, since April 2018. His research activities focus on the chemical composition of some medicinal plant extracts and essential oils, their antioxidant capacities, and their protective properties against chemical and biological molecules (metals, loperamide, castor oil, sulfuric acid, dextran sulfate, high fat diet, and others), induced oxidative stress, metabolic, and digestive system disorders such as ulcer, colitis and esophagitis.
