Mizrahi is the professorial director of the Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine at the University of Cape Town (UCT). Michel López’s distinguished career reflects a profound commitment to academic research, teaching, and cultural heritage preservation. He founded Bolivia’s first salvage archaeology company, Empresa Consultora de Arqueología ECOAR and possesses extensive knowledge of Bolivia’s protected areas. From 2005 to 2011, as the director of the Institute of Anthropological and Archaeological Research at San Andrés University in La Paz, he spearheaded groundbreaking research and mentored future generations of scholars. His dedication to education has enriched academic discourse, ensuring the transmission of knowledge. From 2011 to 2015, as director-general of the Cultural Heritage at Bolivia’s Ministry of Cultures and Tourism, he led initiatives that secured UNESCO’s World Heritage status for the Ichapekene Piesta of San Ignacio de Moxos (2012), the Qhapaq Ñan (Andean Road System) and the intangible heritage of the Pujllay Ayarichi (2014). Yunus Daud Mgaya (B.Sc., 1986, University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; M.Sc., 1989, University of British Columbia, Canada; PhD, 1995, National University of Ireland - NUI Galway, Ireland) is Professor of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Department of Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Technology, University of Dar es Salaam; Fellow, Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA); Fellow, Tanzania Academy of Sciences; Fellow, The African Academy of Sciences. He is presently (since October 2018) the President of Tanzania Academy of Sciences and Chancellor of Kampala International University in Uganda. I served as Director General of the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) from December 2016 to September 2022.

Meng is a professor of Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He obtained his bachelor degree in 1983 at Southwestern Agricultural University, China, and PhD in 1991 at Nottingham University, UK. He was director of the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) (2008-2012). He is an elected fellow of CAS. Menck (PhD Biochemistry, 1982, at the University of São Paulo) is Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, USP, São Paulo, where he was Head of the Dept. of Microbiology and Vice Director, Vice-President and President of the Brazilian Society of Environmental Mutagenesis, Carcinogenesis and Teratogenesis (SBMCTA), and of the Brazilian Society of Genetics. He participated in the organization of many scientific meetings, including as Chair for the V Congress of SBMCTA, 57th and 58th Annual Congress of Genetics, 11th International Conference on Environmental Mutagens and five meetings on Molecular Mutagenesis and DNA repair (FARM-DNA) (São Paulo and Belo Horizonte, Brazil). His prizes include the Award of Scientific and Technological Merit from the State of São Paulo, Fellow of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, member of the Order of National Scientific Merit, Commander Class. Menchaca-Rocha is a Mexican nuclear physicist with an Oxford D.Phil. and postdoctoral training at LBNL. His interests include heavy-ion reaction mechanisms and their hydrodynamic simulation; the production of light nuclei and antinuclei, with applications to cosmology. He is member of important international collaborations such as ALICE and AMS2. Locally, he pioneered muon-imaging, carrying highly visible applications to the Teotihuacan Pyramid of the Sun and to the Popocatepetl Volcano. He has published 237 papers, cited over 20,000 times (H=75). Directed (2003-07) the UNAM Physics Institute of Physics; presided over the Mexican Academy of Sciences (2010-12); and is (2016-19) General Coordinator of the Science Advisory Council to the Mexican Presidency. Mekonnen is a Professor of Cell and Human Physiology in the Department of Biology at the College of Natural and Computational Sciences of Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. She has advised many MSc and PhD students and she has also mentored young professionals, specially women, over the last three decades. She was involved in leadership positions and has initiated a number of national, continental and international research networks and collaborations. In 2013, she was able to establish with other colleagues the Society of Ethiopian Women in Science and Technology, to help empower and mentor women academicians and researchers in Ethiopia. Mbacham is a Titular Professor of Public Health Biotechnology. He obtained a Doctorat de Specialité in Molecular Parasitology from the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon (1989), and a PhD in Tropical Public Health from Harvard, USA (1997). His research focuses on host and pathogen genomics and the interaction between communicable and non-communicable diseases at the University of Yaoundé I. He has served in leadership positions in many national and international programmes. He has developed a philosophical approach to Professionalizing Planning Actions in Science & Technology Education & University-based Research (Pro-P.A.S.T.E.U.R.) that integrates platforms for bioscience, physical sciences and research-uptake. He won the 2017 TWAS Regional Prizes in Public Understanding and Popularization of Science for sub-Saharan Africa. He was elected Chair of the Programme Management Committee of the International Atomic Energy Agency-AFRA programme of 41 African member states (2015–2021). He has supervised some 95 graduates and 25 PhD students with more than 180 publications. He founded the Fobang Institutes for Innovations in Science and Technology (FINISTECH), Cameroon.

Mazzafera is a full professor at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), São Paulo, Brazil. He graduated in agronomy and his main knowledge area is plant physiology. He started his career at Agronomic Institute of Campinas, working with coffee, a crop that is still his passion. He teaches plant physiology/biochemistry in undergraduate and graduate courses and supervised more than 120 MSc, PhD and postdoctoral students. Nowadays, his main research areas are lignin metabolism and crop nutrition in coffee, sugarcane, soybean and eucalyptus. He published over 300 refereed scientific articles, book chapters, and technical publications. During his career, he had intense administrative activity. He was head of department at Unicamp twice (1997-2003), director of the Institute of Biology (2006-2010), advisor to the dean of research (2003-2006), advisor to the rector (2011-2013) and director of the National Laboratory of Bioethanol Science and Technology (CTBE) (1985-1986). He is a Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and of the Academy of Sciences of São Paulo. He is a level 1A researcher at the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).

Mayor is an Indian cell biologist. After studying chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, he was awarded his PhD in life sciences from The Rockefeller University, New York, and worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Columbia University. In 1995, he joined the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, a centre of TIFR where he has been studying the fine structure and the function of the membrane of living cells using methods derived from biology, chemistry, and physics. He has been elected as a Fellow of Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian Science Academy, a Foreign Fellow of National Academy of Sciences (USA), and European Molecular Biology Organization. Mathur is J C Bose National Fellow at Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Dr. R.A. He has received more than 40 awards including: Order of Mapungubwe, and President Award, National Research Foundation. He holds a PhD in engineering from University of Cambridge. He has supervised 47 masters and 37 PhD students and published 25 books, 300 refereed papers in journals, proceedings and book chapters and holds 3 international patents. He is a fellow of many organizations including the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Marquet (PhD, 1993, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, USA) is Professor at the Departmento de Ecología, Facultad de Ciencias Biológicas, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago and External Faculty of the Santa Fe Institute (USA). His work has focused on the quest for general principles underlying the complexity of ecological systems, the impacts of Global Change on biodiversity, the integration of theories in ecology and the ecological basis of human social complexity. His works on scaling relationships and on species diversity and size evolution on islands, provided an explicit and novel connection between allometric scaling, island biogeography and evolution. These findings paved the way for later developments in macroecology and metabolic ecology and a deeper understanding of the extent to which our society is sequestering energy from the biosphere to fuel social complexity. He was a Guggenheim Fellow and is currently member of the Chilean Academy of Sciences, Foreign Associate of the National Academy of Sciences (USA), International Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and Fellow of the Ecological Society of America.

Mariscotti is CEO and founder of Tomografia de Hormigón Armado S.A. After his PhD at the University of Buenos Aires, he spent a few years at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Later, he was visiting professor at the University of Manchester, KFA in Julich, Sao Paulo University, ILL at Grenoble and other institutions abroad. He was professor of nuclear physics at the University of Buenos Aires, member of the board of directors of the Buenos Aires Research Council, director of R and D at the Argentine Atomic Energy Commission and president of the National Agency for the Promotion of Science and Technology. He has been awarded the Konex Award (1983 and 2003), UNIDO (1995), and the Tech Museum Award (2002). He is a former president of the Argentine National Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences and a member since 1986.

Mansouri obtained his PhD in physics and astronomy at the University of Vienna in 1972. He is professor of physics at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran. His previous positions include: chairman of the department of physics at Sharif University of Technology from 1983-85 and from 1991-93; and president of the Physics Society of Iran (1984-88, 1992-95 and 1999-2006). He is well known for his test theory of relativity which he developed in the 1970s with Roman Sexl at the University of Vienna. His theory constitutes a theoretical framework for testing the theories claiming to be an alternative to Einstein's theory of relativity. He has been awarded the Abdus Salam Prize for Iranian Scientists in 1989. He is a fellow of the Academy of Science, and associate fellow of the Academy for Irainian Litrature and Farsi Language Iran. He has been founding director of the Iranian National Observatory from 2007-20018. He has also served as deputy for research at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran from 2001-2004. His social activities related to sustainable deveplemt in Iran is reflected in his collected works including seven titles published in 2022.

Manoharan is Distinguished Fellow INSA in the Department of Chemistry of IIT, Madras. He obtained his PhD from Columbia Univ. and was a research assoc. at Michigan State Univ. He was in the Faculty of Chemistry both in IIT/Kanpur and IIT/Madras. He founded the premier Regional Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre to serve Indian scientists. He was Vice Chancellor at the Univ. of Madras (1997-99); Institute emeritus professor, CSIR, emeritus scientist, and DST Ramanna Fellow all at IIT, Madras, and honorary professor at JNCASR, Bangalore and INSA Senior Scientist. He was also Raman Chair Professor at IGNOU New Delhi (2009-2012).He is a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy and the Indian Academy of Sciences and served as the Scientific Secretary of INSA. He has received several awards and medals including the FICCI award, Palit Award, Rangadhama Award of the INSA, Sadhan Basu Memorial Award, and the CRSI Gold medal, a life-time achievement award by the Intl. EPR Society.

Chitra (PhD 1978, Indian Inst. of Sci., Bangalore) is Sir J.C. Bose National Fellow. She is an elected fellow of The Indian Natl. Science Acad. Mammo is professor of chemistry at Addis Ababa Univ., Ethiopia. He was educated at AAU and the Univ. of Bonn, Germany. He was chairman of the Dept. of Chemistry, AAU, (1997-99), editor and editor-in-chief of the Bull. Chem. Soc. Ethiop. (1993-96) and visiting professor at Chalmers Univ. of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden (1996-2013). His major contributions are in the synthesis of a wide variety of polythiophenes and polyfluorene copolymers destined mainly for photovoltaic applications. Through support from ISP, Sweden, he established one of the best modern synthetic chemistry facilities in Africa at AAU, which gives strong support to materials research and training. He is the recipient of the 2012 CNR Rao Prize for scientific research. His research interests include natural products chemistry and the synthesis and characterization of conjugated polymers for photovoltaic applications.

He has received 14 national awards including Razi, Avicenna, Yalda, Hadavi, Tabatabaei and Iranian Science awards. He has obtained International Agency for Research on cancer (IARC/WHO) Medal of Honor for outstanding contribution in research on cancer (2018). He is a member of 18 national and international academies and scientific societies. He has published 660+ papers in scientific international journals with 65,800+ citations and is among the top 1% world highly cited scientists in clinical Medicine based on Essential Science Indicators. His h-index is 90 in Scopus. He has established the Golestan Cohort and Persian cohort study in Iran.
